FossConf 2009, Madurai and Ubuntu Tamil Team

A late news but still need to share :-)

Madurai(1) Feb 27- Mar 01. Ubuntu Tamil Team demonstrated at
FossConf-2009(2) held at Thiagarajar Engineering College(3), Madurai
from Feb 27 to Mar 01. Its the second Major FOSS conference happening
in Tamilnadu. Padmanathan, Bharathi, Raman, Mohan, Sivaji, Selvam and
many more from our Team took part and spent time at the stall
demonstrating our activities. And we shared Fedora DVDs too for the
participants. Thanks to Fedora Indian Team.

The conference was divided into three categories - Stalls, FOSS
Project Demos and Talks. All stalls were almost powered by Ubuntu.

Notable in the the conference was the enthusiasm shown by students
from TVS Schools of Madurai(4). It was a wonderful event Organised by
TCE and hats of to the Organisers - ILUGC(5), NRCFOSS(6) and the Host
TCE.
