OLPC coverage
and since I have been on the OLPC community list for some time now, I'm
going to step up and take on covering the activity in the OLPC SIG and
selected coverage of the OLPC Community News and create a new beat for
this, effective with this next issue. Does anyone have an issue with this?
The XOs were a huge draw at the recent Ohio Linux Fest, and I think
raising the profile of Fedora's foundational involvement in the project
will pay dividends for the Fedora Project more broadly.

I agree.

I think the ToC in the email lets one quickly determine if one wants to
read on. If you read a couple of beats and stop, you won't know what
you're missing. If you glanced at the ToC you may realize you can bounce
down a few pages to reach your interest area.
It's sort of like a mailing list digest header. I suppose the welcome
could serve the purpose, but a ToC is ready made for rapid skimming, and
is all inclusive.
my 2 cents

Thanks for the feedback Nicu. I'd tend to agree and for the same reasons
I'm wondering also about removing the editorial team names from the
"Welcome" beat as it lengthens the mail by several lines and I reckon
that anyone interested can track us down on the wiki. Pascal, Huzaifa:
do you object to this?
The other thing is whether or not there's any point in including the
Table of Contents in the mailshot -- that bulks up the length of the
mail quite considerably and while it's useful on the wiki (allowing
anyone to jump quickly to a section of interest) I suspect that it might
make the mailshot too unwieldy.
Best wishes,
